Colin Jacobs 

Born and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Colin began his hockey journey with the Dallas Ice Jets, now Dallas Stars Elite, where he was part of the first AAA team from Texas to win a Tier 1 National Championship. He went on to play in the WHL and was selected in the 2011 NHL Draft by the Buffalo Sabres. That same year, he competed in the NHL Top Prospects Game and NHL Combine before signing an NHL contract. His professional career spans the AHL, ECHL, and top European leagues.

For over seven years, Colin has served as a skills coach and currently works with Dallas Stars Elite, giving back to the organization where his career began. He also specializes in video coaching—a key strength that sets him apart from many other advisors—providing detailed, pro-level insight to help players improve their on-ice decision-making and development.

Through his playing career, Colin worked closely with agents and advisors, gaining a deep understanding of strategic development, honest feedback, and strong advocacy. Today, he applies that knowledge to help players advance at the AAA, junior, college, and pro levels.

Colin’s advising approach centers on experience, transparency, and individualized mentorship—empowering players and families to make informed decisions that support long-term growth and success.
